Dave Tucker moved to the Valley in 2013 to take over for Rod Powell at Pepi’s Bar in the heart of Vail Village, where he became immersed in a culture that celebrates mountain life in shared spaces—where hospitality, craftsmanship, and story converge.

Music is one expression of The Guitarpenter, but it is only part of the work. Guitar and carpentry have gone hand in hand since Dave’s teenage years, when woodshop classes and time spent learning from his uncle—a Yankee carpenter—introduced him to the craft of remodeling historic homes.

Today, Dave and his small team of dedicated professionals specialize in shaping homes that feel like a true retreat after a long day outdoors. From refined, intimate dens designed for rest and restoration to open, gracious environments built for gathering, each project blends thoughtful design, structural insight, and fine craftsmanship.
